Bowel Cancer Australia’s signature event raising awareness of Australia's second deadliest cancer and funds for the 100% community-funded national charity.

 

Bowel Cancer Australia is dedicated to championing what matters most to people impacted by bowel cancer and empowering everyone affected to live their best life.

 

    • 1-in-14 Australians will be diagnosed with bowel cancer in their lifetime 

    • 15,531 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer each year (299 a week) 

    • Bowel cancer claims the lives of 5,354 people every year (103 a week) 

    • 1-in-9 new bowel cancer cases diagnosed in people under age 50 (1,716 a year) 

    • Almost 99% of bowel cancer cases can be successfully treated, when detected early

Tamworth shows their support for people impacted by dementia

Tamworth community members turned up in force last weekend, showing their support for people impacted by dementia whilst getting active to improve their brain health. Participating in the 2025 Memory Walk & Jog at Bicentennial Park, more than 95 people walked, ran and jogged to raise an impressive total of $6600. WA Labor releases plan to break barriers to ADHD diagnosis and treatment by GPs

Specialist GPs will be able to diagnose attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and initiate and manage its treatment with stimulant medication under proposed WA Labor reforms hailed as a breakthrough for patients by Australia’s peak body for general practice.
