SYDNEY AUSTRALIA,– June 24, 2024 – HeraMED Limited (ASX) a leader in the digital transformation of maternity care, today announced the soft launch of HeraCARE within the Telstra Health ecosystem through targeted GP clinics.

In November 2023, HeraMED announced its partnership with Telstra Health’s MedicalDirector platform servicing GP and healthcare professionals, marking HeraCARE as the first remote maternity solution to join the Telstra Health digital ecosystem. The soft launch of HeraCARE into Telstra Health’s Smart Connected Care was recently announced at the RACGP Practice Owners Conference in Cairns, Australia.

The initial step in the commercial rollout focuses on recruiting the first group of GP clinics ('early adopters') for integrating HeraCARE into MedicalDirector and GP workflows. This phase aims to optimize care and commercial models while gathering feedback from the Beta Program before a full launch to the larger network. On completion of the soft launch, HeraMED anticipates marketing to the entire GP clinic customer base and onboarding mums through Telstra Health’s GP clinics by the end of calendar year 2024.

HeraMED and Telstra Health will jointly promote the integration of HeraCARE into the Smart Connected Care ecosystem through education and marketing initiatives as part of the Smart Partner Marketing Plan.

CEO of HeraMED, Anoushka Gungadin, stated, "HeraCARE is a mum-centric solution and the partnership with Telstra Health allows us to expand access to care for many more mums, given the significant role GPs play in maternity, pregnancy and postpartum care. Following integration and commercial rollout within this new ecosystem, we are targeting the onboarding of mums through GP practices by the end of calendar year 2024. This aligns with the four-point plan both for commercialisation and strategic partnership while redefining how maternity care is delivered and experienced."

Universal Health Coverage Day: RACGP calls out need for better funding for chronic conditions and preventive care

Specialist GPs have marked International Universal Health Coverage (UHC) Day by joining the World Health Organization in highlighting the devastating impact of health costs. The Royal Australian College of GPs (RACGP) has stressed that a public health system which forces patients with complex or chronic conditions to pay out of pocket for longer consultations can’t claim to offer universal coverage, and urged governments to protect patients from financial hardship. “Health is a human right,” RACGP President Dr Michael Wright said. “Australia recognises the right of everyone to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health, and our governments are…
