It is Eat Local Month celebrated in one glorious, flavour-filled day, and in HUGE NEWS, the Winter Harvest Festival, has a new location – the stunning village of Kalbar - and it’s now just part of a FULL WEEKEND of harvest activities!
The Winter Harvest Festival is the signature event of Scenic Rim Eat Local Month, where Food Ambassador chefs join growers, producers and flavour-makers in celebrating where our food comes from. There’s demonstrations, over 60 stalls and local shops to wander (listed below FYI), tasting and sipping stations to graze, the World Famous Tractor Pull (can the butchers or the veg growers take back the title after a shock loss to a newcomer last year😱), and there’s incredible new events, flavours and faces – plus of course, Moffatt's famous Carrot Ice Cream (did you know the Scenic Rim produces 600 million carrots a year and is the carrot capital of the country) and Carrot Tossing!
It’s a FULL WEEKEND from June 28 to 30 and an epic, flavour-filled way to end Scenic Rim Eat Local Month – here’s what’s new and what you need to know… plus more imagery here
