Casey’s Toys Hosts Beanie for Brain Cancer Weekend August 2 – 4

Casey's Toys 2 mins read

Casey's Toys is thrilled to announce our Beanie for Brain Cancer Weekend, happening from August 2 to 4, in support of the Mark Hughes Foundation. This weekend, we are rallying our community to raise much-needed funds for brain cancer research, and we will match your donation dollar for dollar.

At Casey's Toys, we believe in the power of community and the joy of giving back. Supporting Beanie for Brain Cancer, an initiative by the Mark Hughes Foundation, is a cause close to our hearts. This incredible organisation is dedicated to funding brain cancer research and raising awareness about this devastating disease.

Join Us in Making a Difference

We invite you to join us in this heartfelt cause. Every beanie worn and every donation made brings us one step closer to finding a cure. Together, we can support those affected by brain cancer. Visit your local Casey's Toys store and contribute your loose change. We are asking for a gold coin donation (or more if you can spare it), and we will match every donation dollar for dollar!

Why Your Support Matters

Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in children and adults under 40 in Australia. Yet, alarmingly, very little is known about brain cancer, its causes, or how it is treated. That's why we need your help. Every dollar donated helps in the fight against brain cancer by funding vital research to improve patient treatments and, hopefully, find a cure one day.

Event Details

  • Dates: August 2 - 4
  • Location: All Casey's Toys stores

Thank you for being a part of the Casey's Toys family. Your support means the world to us and to the many families battling brain cancer. Let's unite, give back, and make a difference—one beanie at a time.

With gratitude,

The Casey's Toys Team

Small steps taken but more must be done to protect children from domestic and family violence

Small steps taken but more must be done to protect children from domestic and family violence Barnardos Australia strongly welcomes the NSW Government’s landmark strategy to acknowledge children as victim-survivors of domestic and family violence (DFV) in their own right, but more must be done to protect them. The NSW Government today released its Building Better Responses: NSW Strategy to Respond to the Use of Domestic and Family Violence 2026–2030, which recognises children are often exposed to DFV which can lead to worse health, social and educational outcomes and difficulties with emotional regulation, aggression and mental health. Major funding, including…
