Collective brings national networking event to Parramatta

Collective-Inspiring Women in Business 2 mins read

Dr. Catherine Kizana, Founder of ABC Parenting and esteemed Parenting Coach, will speak at a national networking event for businesswomen in Parramatta later this month.

Initially trained as a medical doctor specialising in emergency medicine, Dr. Kizana shifted to coaching after facing her own challenges with motherhood, including postnatal anxiety. These experiences inspired her to help others and establish ABC Parenting, a platform dedicated to empowering parents through education and coaching.

Collective - Inspiring Women in Business, powered by the IntoWork Group, empowers and supports women at all stages of their careers through networking events, mentoring and professional development. Events have been held in Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Tasmania, Brisbane, Mackay and now Collective is coming to Parramatta for the first time on Wednesday, July 31.

Dr. Kizana is passionate about supporting parents in what she considers the most important role they will ever undertake. At the upcoming event, she will discuss the critical role of mindset in business and parenting, highlighting how a well-prepared mind can be the best partner you could hope for, "Those who cannot change their minds cannot change anything,” she said.

Collective Sydney State Lead Tina Gaddes said she is thrilled to bring Collective to Parramatta for the first time, “Our goal is to create a supportive and empowering environment where women can learn, grow and thrive in their professional journeys. Women excel in the dual roles of motherhood and business by harnessing their unique ability to nurture growth, manage complexities, and lead with empathy. Their strength in these roles not only shapes successful businesses but also builds stronger families and communities," she said.

Money raised from the event will go to Dress for Success NSW, a non-for-profit that empowers over 2,500 women in New South Wales by providing free styling services and career support. Their programs are designed to help women overcome bias and discrimination as they enter or re-enter the workforce, ensuring they do so with confidence and without any financial burden. To date, Collective has raised over $86,000 for charities across Australia through regular networking events.

After the event, women have the opportunity to sign up for Collective’s free national mentoring program, which is run online and is open to all women in business across Australia. The program is powered by IntoWork Australia.
