FAIR Consulting Group Takes on Consulting Giants with Strategic Hire and Acquisition

FAIR Consulting Group 2 mins read

Sydney, Australia – 8 July 2024 – While many professional services companies have downsized during the recent economic downturn, FAIR Consulting Group continues to grow and invest in the Australian market.

In the past decade, many SAP partners in Australia and New Zealand have been acquired by large corporations, creating a gap for boutique SAP partners. FAIR Consulting Group, an Australian full-service SAP IT consultancy and SAP Gold Partner founded in 2012 by Mehrab Ebadi, has filled this gap, emerging as an alternative to the big SIs for many iconic Australian brands.

With a simple philosophy of “Putting the trust back in consulting” through being “FAIR to our Employees, Customers, Partners and the Community”, FAIR has built a reputation for delivering quality service and earning numerous happy customer references. This approach has generated significant attention in the SAP ANZ market.

Recently, FAIR announced the appointment of Pete Andrew as the new Managing Director. With nearly 20 years of experience in SAP ANZ as Acting Managing Director, Head of Industries, Chief Operating Officer and GM, Pete brings exceptional leadership to drive FAIR’s continued growth and success.

"I am extremely excited and humbled by the opportunity to lead FAIR Consulting Group. The alignment of the company’s values with my own - honesty, integrity and leading by example - is very important to me. The opportunity for FAIR in the ANZ market is unlimited. A consulting partner that truly values its people and customers is going to be very successful. Trust in our customer engagements is critical for long-term success," said Pete.

In addition to this key appointment, FAIR Consulting Group has acquired Brightwater Technology, an Australian SAP consulting firm, to enhance its SAP S/4HANA and Application Managed Support (AMS) capabilities. FAIR will integrate Brightwater’s team and customers while maintaining the same high level of service.

Mehrab highlighted, "The acquisition of Brightwater and Pete’s appointment mark important milestones for our company. There is a clear demand for local boutique partners who can offer tailored engagements and deliver big, complex transformations. Partnering with FAIR means trust, quality and support for the local Australian economy and young professionals."

When asked about his new role, Mehrab chuckled and said, "I’m not putting my feet up just yet. The software and professional services industry is changing rapidly. I’ll focus on strategy and innovation, meet more with our customers, and, of course, keep brewing coffee and tea for the team to keep them happy."

Rules to help Victorians access affordable energy and tackle ‘loyalty tax’ proposed by regulator

The Essential Services Commission is proposing new rules to require energy retailers to move certain customers onto cheaper plans. The commission estimates these rules would have saved customers an average of around $225 on electricity and $182 on their gas each year. The proposed changes to the Energy Retail Code of Practice are designed to ensure customers experiencing financial hardship and those who have been on the same plan for over four years pay a fair price for their power. Retailers would be required to move customers: receiving assistance under the Payment Difficulty Framework onto their cheapest plan in arrears…
