HCF expands insurance offerings with new comprehensive home and car coverage

HCF 3 mins read

TUESDAY, 16 JULY 2024: HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, today announced the expansion of its insurance offerings with new Home and Motor Insurance products in partnership with Allianz, one of Australia’s most established insurers.

HCF now provides a broad range of home and car insurance options designed to deliver comprehensive coverage, flexibility, and value.

HCF Chief Operating Officer Lorraine Thomas said, “Our launch of the new Home and Motor range represents a continued focus on delivering more value for HCF members through high-quality products, to suit their budget and lifestyle needs and help them safeguard against the unexpected.”

A recent national survey of over 1,000 Australian insurance policyholders, conducted on behalf of HCF, underscores the critical need for affordable insurance solutions and a strong demand for flexibility.

The survey revealed that 95% of Australians aged 25 and older prioritise affordable insurance coverage, with 91% of respondents stressing the importance of insurance products that can adapt to changing circumstances.

Additionally, nearly four in five respondents (78%) expressed the importance of bundling multiple insurance products with the same provider.

“We know amid cost-of living pressures consumers are making necessary budget decisions such as cutting back on car journeys to save on fuel and working more days a week from home. The new car and home products prioritise affordability and value for our members, giving them the ability to tailor their cover as their needs and budgets change,” said Ms Thomas.

And these new additions offer members the ease and convenience of managing all their insurance needs – from health, life, travel and pet, to home and motor - under one roof – reinforcing HCF’s commitment to offering a holistic suite of insurance solutions.

“We’re delighted to expand on our partnership with Allianz to deliver these new products, giving our members the peace of mind and convenience of managing all their health and insurance needs with HCF,” Ms Thomas said.

Additional offers are available for HCF members with existing policies, offering even greater value and making it easier for members to cover their homes and vehicles.

Dan Tully, General Manager Consumer Partners at Allianz Australia added, “This collaboration with HCF underscores our shared commitment to delivering trusted and reliable insurance solutions to Australians.

“We’re excited to work together to create value for HCF members through tailored insurance solutions and a dedicated and seamless claims experience that helps members get back on the road or in their homes quicker,” Mr Tully said.

HCF’s Home Insurance covers buildings, contents, or combined building and contents, with flexible options to tailor coverage.

HCF’s Motor Insurance includes comprehensive and third-party insurance options, ensuring members have the cover they need for their vehicles.
