LOUIS POMMERY ENGLAND UNVEILS ITS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED SPARKLING ROSÉ CUVÉE

Tide Communications 3 mins read

Raise your glass as Louis Pommery England pops some major news with the release of its first-ever sparkling rosé. Created using the thoroughly classic and traditional method at the Pinglestone Estate in New Alresford, United Kingdom, this refined cuvée is now available on Australian soil.

The Louis Pommery England Rosé NV blend is a beautiful symphony of Pinot Noir’s expressive red fruit aromas and structure, the elegance and finesse of Chardonnay, and the textural layers of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Gris. Awarded the gold medal at the 2024 Decanter World Wine Awards, this latest release is set to impress wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs with its vibrant and refreshing profile, a true reflection of the art and excellence of sparkling wine making.

Delicate salmon pink hue with a persistent mousse and a vibrant nose presents English hedgerow fruits of wild strawberry and raspberry, accompanied by alluring notes of apple blossom. Textural and structured, the palate is underpinned by a balletic acid line, providing elegance and finesse. Perfect as an aperitif, whilst also pairing beautifully with chalk stream trout, halloumi salad, and summer berry desserts.

In addition to the latest release, Louis Pommery England Brut NV has adopted an elevated design, presenting a sophisticated and modern elegance. This update is complemented by a new gift box, making it the perfect choice for celebrations and thoughtful gifting.

The winemakers: behind every cork pop and swirl of the glass stands Pinglestone Estate’s Head Winemaker Will Perkins. In close collaboration with Clément Pierlot, Champagne Pommery's esteemed cellar master, they craft each bottle with a passion for perfection and a nose for nuance. Blending English innovation with rich French traditions, Clément and Will ensure every bottle is a testament to exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

Clément Pierlot, Champagne Pommery's Chef de Cave shares his excitement about the evolution of English wine: "The progression of English wine over the past decade has been remarkable. At Louis Pommery, we are thrilled to bring together French expertise and English terroir to create something truly exceptional. Our new rosé sparkling wine is a perfect example of this harmonious blend."

Will Perkins, Head Winemaker at Pinglestone Estate, commented: "English Wine Week served as a testament to the growing recognition and appreciation for English wines on the global stage. Our Louis Pommery England Rosé is evidence of the rich tapestry of flavours that derive from the remarkable terroir of Pinglestone Estate vineyard."

Produced in the distinctive terroir of southern England, where chalk is the dominant element of the soil, this English sparkling brut and rosé embody the renowned grape varieties of the region to bring exceptional crispness and minerality. The result is a collection that not only honours the heritage of Pommery winemaking, but also stands out on the international stage for its elegance and finesse.
