Sydney, July 10, 2024 — The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia invites media members to attend and cover the 36th Annual Islamic Convention, the largest and longest-running Muslim convention in Australia, taking place in Western Sydney from Friday, July 12th to Sunday, July 14th. This year's convention is particularly special as it marks the first time many attendees, who have fled persecution from various countries are able to practice their faith and attend such a spiritual gathering openly.

  • First-Time Attendees: Tens of members experiencing the freedom to openly practice their faith at a large public gathering for the first time in their lives.
  • Speakers and Leaders: The convention will feature speeches from the National President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, influential Imams from across Australia, and messages of support from prominent MPs, faith leaders, and community leaders.
  • International delegates: Attendees from over 10 countries representing New Zealand, Malaysia, Fiji and various other countries.
  • Exhibition: Showcasing the humanitarian efforts of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Australia.
