Vice Chancellor’s Fellow at La Trobe University and Emeritus Professor of Politics. Professor Altman has written 15 books exploring sexuality, politics and their inter-relationship in Australia, the United States and globally. A former visiting Professor of Australian Studies at Harvard, he has written broadly on US politics, including the current election.

Talent alert: Hunter locals speak out on nuclear risks as political inquiry comes to town

Friday, December 6 A political hearing in Muswellbrook next week will hear from Hunter Valley locals on their opposition to building nuclear reactors in the region. The federal Parliament’s select committee on nuclear energy is looking into a scheme from the Coalition to build nuclear reactors at sites around the country, including in the Hunter.
