Expo 24  Electrify your life! - It’s simpler than you think

Electrify Boroondara is staging Australia’s biggest community electrification and energy efficiency Expo on Sunday 8 September at Hawthorn Town Hall.

”We were blown away by the 1,200 people who came to our first Expo last year and we’re preparing for even more this year,” says Expo Convenor Sophie Torney.  “The high cost of living is affecting so many families and climate impacts are increasing, meaning people have a real thirst for knowledge about how to electrify and make their lives more energy efficient.

“We’re also thrilled that Lily D’Ambrosio, Victorian Minister for Energy and Resources, the SEC and Climate Action, Monique Ryan, Federal Member for Kooyong and John Pesutto, State Opposition Leader, are all playing an active role in this year’s event.”

The free Expo features over 50 stallholders showcasing latest innovations from rooftop solar and batteries to home design and electric vehicles; some of Australia’s most influential voices in  the field discussing “what’s next” for electrification; hands on demonstrations; and an “Ask me Anything Hub” staffed with experts and local Boroondara residents.

“In keeping with our mission to accelerate Boroondara’s transition to a clean energy future, the Expo will educate, inform and inspire our community about the benefits of electrification - including practical advice on HOW to go about it,” says Sophie Torney.

Key speakers include Saul Griffith, Co-founder Rewiring Australia, Tony Wood, Energy Program Director, Grattan Institute, Tim Forcey, Author, My Efficient Electric Home, Guy Pritchard, Director - Programs at Solar Victoria, Mark de Villiers, Head of Regulatory Finance, Modeling and Pricing at Citipower, Tim Washington, Founder of Jet Charge and Sarah Aubrey, Influencer and Electrification Advocate and many more.
