As her year-long residency at the Coal Loader Centre for Sustainability draws to a close, Kath Wallace, the talented Artist in Residence since October 2023, invites the community to explore her captivating works. Wallace's artistry not only highlights the stunning beauty of the Coal Loader site but also reveals its hidden treasures.
Visitors can expect a delightful mix of fun and beauty at Faces and Places of Coal Loader. From the charming brush turkey named Ramon to fascinating face pareidolia in everyday objects, and portraits of the surrounding bushland, her art captures the essence of the Coal Loader.
Kath Wallace's dedication to sustainability and her ability to find beauty in the small and often overlooked details make this exhibition a stand-out. As a member of the Royal Art Society, her works carry both artistic merit and a deep connection to the environment.
Artworks will be available for purchase directly from the artist.
Applications are also now open for Council’s Coal Loader Artist Studio and Primrose Park Artists’ Studios. Applications are open to emerging, mid-career, or professional artists from the Northern and Greater Sydney region and close on 26 August 2024. Artists are welcome to book in a studio tour or submit an application at www.northsydney.nsw.gov.au/artsandculture
