GO FOR GOLD WITH YOUR SOCIALS – finally a masterclass series you can understand!

Brandfluff 5 mins read

Small businesses are in a race of their own with the social algorithm to reach marketing gold. One of the country’s leading start-up social media marketing and content specialists is sharing her skills on how to gain the glory!

When Social Media came into the world like a wrecking ball, Queensland’s Alexis Fenton was Miley Cyrus. Now she’s teaching others.

She now has over 20 successful years’ experience working in Social Media and Content across Australia, UK and USA and knows what content to create and host where, when and why.

HOWEVER - in the last four years she’s witnessed the make or break of businesses in this new Social Media era – some that have thrived by pivoting and upskilling, and some that have unfortunately made costly mistakes that could be avoided. This is the reason she has launched The Hero Masterclass Series – three masterclasses that deep dive into Content Creation, Social Media, Social Advertising, enabling business owners and marketing leaders to thrive in this brave, dynamic, new world. So if you don’t know what EGC or AI is, read on!

“Did you know that for the FIRST TIME EVER, 99.2% of Olympic Athletes have Instagram and are active? Some athletes have even bigger followings than media outlets. This is the most empowered group of athletes in the history of the Olympic Games and proof that social and content is king.” said Alexis.

“Consider this, almost *80 per cent of Australian businesses use Social Media in some way. That’s a huge figure, yet how many are actually well versed in using this ecosystem called Social Media and Content Strategy to drive conversion and growth?” said Alexis.

“3.5 billion reels are shared in DM’s every day – business and conversation is happening and you can be a part of it, if you have the know and how for your independent business.”

This is why The Hero Masterclass Series was born, starting September, 2024, with the first session – The Content Hero Masterclass -  BOOK: https://brandfluff.com.au/products/content-hero-masterclass

The first three masterclasses cover Content 101, Social Media 101, and Social Ads 101, with more masterclasses on the horizon, and experts leading the conversations and education.

“Just being on Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn doesn’t actually mean anything. Business owners and marketers need to literally learn another content language, as well as another skill set in how to create moving vision, apply audio and then interpret algorithms and trends, to make a social media presence valuable,” said Alexis.

“I’ve seen so many burnt out marketing professionals who’s bosses have assumed they can simply add Social Media and Content Creation to their suits of responsibility, because it’s ‘just creating a few posts here and there.’ It’s absolutely not, and needs to be viewed for what it is – a powerful portal for business success now and into the future,” she said. “Business leaders need to wake up and invest in your future before it’s too late!”

“Social is evolving and changing, and it’s time to remove the fear and embrace it – these three Masterclasses make it simple to upskill, and they make good business sense.”

THE QUESTIONS ALEXIS IS ASKED MOST OFTEN:

  1. I don’t understand content marketing and why it’s so important?
  2. How many social platforms do I need to be on?
  3. Making stop scrolling reels and content is just out of my realms – isn’t it?
  4. What’s the difference in posting content on Meta, TikTok and LinkedIn?
  5. How do I make social media work for MY business?

THE BIGGEST SOCIAL MEDIA MISTAKES SEEN BY ALEXIS:

  1. Ignoring content marketing and just reusing older images or videos. Content fatigue is real and people are too smart for this. Content is a consistent, fresh game and should be treated as one of the most important parts of a marketing strategy.
  2. Relying on one platform or one part of marketing to grow a business or brand. Marketing (especially for small business) is layered and diverse. It sounds complicated, but with a little help, it’s not.
  3. Wasting time and money on doing the same things over and over and expecting different results (also the definition of insanity!). Upskilling your expertise and outsourcing can help.
  4. Not understanding the bigger picture.

WHAT’S WORKING IN SOCIAL MEDIA RIGHT NOW:

  1. EGC!! Employee Generated Content is queen/king and all in between! The world of polished content dominating is over. People want to see authentic BTS and real life scenarios. I love watching FAYT The Label, Jaz Handmade and Adore Beauty.
  2. Trying new things – trialing new content ideas or creator ideas is key to staying ahead. Meshki does this well with their varied content ideas, and Mco Beauty dominate creator and community marketing while overseas, Blank Street, Refy, The Ordinary, Poppi and Jacquemus are redefining collabs and content.
  3. Embracing AI and emerging tech. We have so many amazing tools like MidJourney, CANVA, Adobe, ChatGPT and Capcut available to us – it’s time to get on that learning curve!
