Making coffee like a pro with Cup Pro

Soda Communications 2 mins read

Hygiene in the hospitality industry is more important than ever in the post-pandemic era, which is why Cup Pro have released an industry-first barista tool to make ordering a coffee in your reusable cup contact-free.

Australians are known for their love of coffee, and Cup Pro’s newest invention ensures they can continue to enjoy cherished trips to the local café for morning lattes and mid-afternoon espressos, while reducing waste and improving sanitation.

Identifying a gap in the market, café veterans and co-founders George and Chris Farah have banded together to create Cup Pro, a beverage preparation vessel that is designed to change the way baristas serve coffee in reusable cups, putting consumers at ease by keeping their experience hygienic, consistent, and swift.

George said that after decades in the bustling Melbourne coffee scene, he and brother Chris saw the need for a system that was streamlined, standardised and completely contact-free.

“Servicing reusables in a commercial environment has always been problematic for cafes. We wanted to develop a product that offered a better way for baristas to service reusable coffee cups,” George said.

"The concept of Cup Pro is simple. It is a vessel used by baristas to prepare, hold and transfer coffee orders, without the need to handle a customer’s cup.

“Once an order is placed, the customer holds onto their reusable cup while the barista prepares the beverage in the Cup Pro from start to finish. When ready, the order is then transferred from the Cup Pro to the reusable cup via the ‘smart spout’, which has been engineered to be virtually spill-proof.”

Cup Pro is available in two convenient sizes, featuring industry standard markers ranging from 4oz to 12oz in volume, guaranteeing the perfect coffee in any cup. Forged from brushed stainless steel for durability and easy cleaning, it’s also stackable for seamless integration and reduced clutter.

The sleek design is sure to be an eye-catching addition to every coffee machine. Leveraging their expertise and creativity, the barista bros have developed a product that remains cool to the touch and keeps beverages hot, courtesy of its vacuum-sealed dual-wall construction. And yes, it's dishwasher safe too!

“Our industry needs a universal serving system that seamlessly integrates into the existing operations of every cafe. We believe Cup Pro is the missing link to achieve a more harmonious and sanitary relationship between cafes and reusables,” George said.

“We are confident with the product we have created and know that it will be welcomed and adopted by baristas into the Melbourne coffee scene and beyond as an important step in the evolution of reusable coffee cup usage.”
