Humanitarian and community groups will hold a vigil outside federal parliament on Monday for the more than 450 humanitarian workers who have died since 2023.
Each worker will be represented by a black and white sign pegged to the lawn outside Parliament House, reading: “World leaders, don’t look away. Act for humanity”.
The vigil, to coincide with World Humanitarian Day, is being hosted by the Australian Council for International Development, Australian Global Health Alliance, UNICEF Australia, PEN Sydney, the Jewish Council of Australia and Amnesty International.
