Megan Salmon – new Melbourne Store opens this Friday – Hawksburn Village –

Megan Salmon 2 mins read

Acclaimed WA fashion designer Megan Salmon, the go-to label for discerning women 40+, opens her keenly awaited first Melbourne store this Friday.

The new store is a welcome addition to Hawksburn Village, the premier women’s fashion precinct on Malvern Rd, Prahran.

Megan Salmon has been creating beautiful womenswear fashion for more than 20 years, working from her studio in Fremantle WA. Originally trained as a painter, particularly of portraits and the human body, Megan brings a refined appreciation of form, colour and textiles in a label cherished by women wanting to look and feel their best.

Each season features unique textiles, drawn from Megan’s hand-painted images, photographs and designs.

The label offers beautifully made garments, in quality fabrics.

This is not fast fashion, but garments that endure and are to be treasured.

Megan Salmon has built a successful label with a significant and growing on-line business, 60+ stockists across Australia and New Zealand and a Fremantle store.

“I have always had a major following in Melbourne and am overdue for a flagship store. Now at last, my current and new customers can come see, feel and try-on every piece from every range, every season.” Megan commented.

A graduate from WA’s Curtin University School of Art,  Megan was a successful painter  with work acquired by the WA State Gallery, the Holmes A Court Collection and others,  until shifting to fashion full-time in her early 30’s.

“I do care about my clothing making women look their best, but what I care about more is how my clothing make women feel confident and positive”

“We routinely receive fantastic feedback from women attending important personal and professional occasions. They say how wonderful my garments made them feel, and how wearing them were key to their enjoyment or success at these events. “

“There is huge excitement among my east coast customers. I know of at least one  woman who is flying in from interstate especially for the opening weekend”

“I look forward to providing this service to my existing customers , and building a community of new-comers to the label”, Megan commented.

The Megan Salmon label is 100% owned and operated by Megan Salmon.

The Prahran store also features a mural and artwork by Megan Salmon.

Come and meet Megan Salmon :

Megan Salmon will be in the store all day this Friday, Saturday and Sunday – August 30, 31 and September 1.

First 100 customers will receive a free silk scarf designed by Megan Salmon.
