Rabobank recognised as Australia’s most recommended agribusiness bank

Rabobank 2 mins read

Rabobank has been recognised as the most recommended agribusiness bank in Australia in the 2024 RFI Global Banking & Finance Awards.

RFI chief customer officer Julien Wilson said unlike other awards programs, winners of RFI’s Banking & Finance Awards were determined by customers.

“Rabobank was awarded ‘Most Recommended Agribusiness Bank, which recognises the highest performer in the feedback scores RFI receives among agribusiness banking customers,” he said.

Part of the global cooperative Rabobank Group, the world’s leading specialist food and agribusiness bank, Rabobank Australia is a major provider of corporate banking services to the nation’s food and agribusiness sector and one of the country’s leading agricultural and agribusiness banks. It also operates online retail savings and deposits business Rabobank Online Savings, with deposits supporting Australian farmers and agribusinesses.

The RFI Banking & Finance Awards are based on data collected from Australia’s largest independent financial services study, Atlas, identifying leading brands in a range of categories.

Based on interviews with more than 80,000 Australian consumers and businesses over a 12-month period, the awards celebrate the most recommended brands and most innovative and trustworthy organisations, as well as those that are the most competitive and best-in-class for digital, relationship managers and customer service across banking.

Rabobank Australia CEO Mark Wiessing said the most recommended agribusiness bank award was “particularly special and meaningful” as it came from the bank’s clients, reflecting both Rabobank’s strong customer relationships and the value clients placed on the bank’s outstanding support and service.

“To be held in such high regard by our clients shows the value they place in the service Rabobank provides as an organisation which is focused on the specific needs of agriculture and agribusiness,” he said.

“The award is an acknowledgement of the quality of our excellent staff, the bank’s leading-edge knowledge and understanding of agriculture and our commitment to supporting our clients through both the good times and the more challenging.”

Firefighters counter misinformation on battery storage risks

Anti‑renewables campaigners are increasingly weaponising community concerns about battery storage systems, spreading misinformation that threatens to derail Australia’s urgent energy transition. Australia, like other carbon‑intensive nations, must take decisive action to prevent climate change impacts from becoming irreversible. An important part of this action must include a rapid shift away from fossil fuels to renewables, storage, and energy efficiency. Sadly, the energy transition is increasingly bogged down in a culture war quagmire that isdriven by conservative media, politicians and vested interests. Misinformation is rife, and shared widely on social media. A common line of attack against renewable energy systems –…
