Seiko Releases Iconic 1960s Design in New Seiko 5 Sports Limited Edition Collection

Seiko introduces into the 5 Sports collection two new products based on a beloved Seiko design. While the size and shape are as close as possible to the original, thanks to the use of updated materials and the tried and trusted Caliber 4R36, the watches strike a perfect balance between the nostalgic design of the original and the modern watchmaking technology of today.

Reproduced in a size and shape as close as possible to the original, the reissued design is powered by the tried-and-trusted Caliber 4R36 automatic movement. The new creation strikes a perfect balance between the nostalgic design of the original and the modern watchmaking technology of today.

Dial

Produced in two colours, black and silver, the dial closely follows that of the classic design, with the original Seiko 5 Sports logo revived at the 12 o’clock position.

Bracelet

In the re-creation, the unique look of the original bracelet has been preserved, though it has been updated with contemporary materials for a fit and feel tailored for daily wear.

Case back

The case back is marked with the words "Limited Edition" and the serial number.

Strap

As a special feature of the limited edition, the watch comes with a sporty retro leather strap reminiscent of the time when the original model was popular.

Box

The commitment to classic design continues with the watch’s special packaging, which pays homage to the box that came with the original model.
