Spinning into Bendigo: The Australian Alpaca National Show is back for free, furry fun

The Australian Alpaca Association (AAA) is proud to announce the return of the Australian Alpaca National Show this August 16 to 18 at the Bendigo Showgrounds.

 

This is the premier event of the Australian Alpaca industry and a chance for locals and alpaca lovers alike to witness the very best alpacas and products from around the country in an unforgettable showcase. Over the three days, there will be over 600 entries from craft items through to our youth paraders. Including 300 magnificent Suri and Huacaya alpacas, nearly 200 alpaca fleeces, displaying the finest quality that breeders across Australia have to offer as well as captivating art, photography, youth, and craft sections.

 

Australia has one of the largest registered breeding herds in the world with more than 180,000 alpacas and is the world leader in quality fleece production.

 

To see our furry friends, a media opportunity will take place at Bendigo Showgrounds (enter at Gate 1):

Time:   11:30am arrival for 11:45am filming and picture opportunities

Suri and Huacaya alpacas- youth paraders, fleece shows, and exhibitions

 


Location: Bendigo Showgrounds, Gate 1 (refer to map and instructions below)

 

Picture and filming opportunities: Suri and Huacaya alpacas being paraded and judged, arts and crafts with kids and alpacas, interview opportunity with the judges and show convenor.
