A Foreign Enterprise Increases Capital and Expands Production in Haicang, Xiamen, China

XIAMEN, China, Sept. 12, 2024 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/--

A foreign company, Lifetime (Xiamen) Plastic Products Co., Ltd. ("Lifetime"), announced recently to boost its annual capacity by 6.5 million pieces of multifunctional leisure products made with high-tech materials in Haicang District, Xiamen, a decision made by its American headquarters after witnessing steady growth in this promising land over the past few years. The construction of this new project will kick off soon, and the operation is expected to start at the end of 2025. It is estimated that the annual industrial output will increase by 1.3 billion yuan, the annual tax revenue will rise by 15 million yuan, and 200 jobs will be created.

From Lifetime's perspective, Haicang is a great place to do business: unparalleled location, extensive transportation network, pleasant environment, well-established facilities, a strong foundation for industries, and "baby-sitting" services.

In fact, a full-lifecycle, closed-loop mechanism has been fostered by the local government, underpinned by eight offices (i.e., business promotion, early-stage support, key projects, land acquisition, accountability inspection, industry, land planning, and service). In the first half of 2024, the district secured 73 major projects that totaled investment of nearly 45 billion yuan, and the goal of a 5% growth in GDP is achieved.
