HCF 2 mins read

MONDAY, 16 SEPTEMBER 2024: HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, has once again proven its leadership in delivering value for its members, winning Canstar’s prestigious Outstanding Value – Health Insurance Australia award for the ninth consecutive year. HCF has won more National and State Canstar awards than any other health fund.

This year’s state-based accolades included the Health Insurance Outstanding Value Award for Hospital Cover in Western Australia, South Australia, and Queensland. HCF’s standout packages in Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia were also recognised, further underscoring our commitment to offering comprehensive and flexible cover.

HCF CEO Sheena Jack celebrated the achievement, saying, “To be recognised for nine years in a row for outstanding value is a testament to our dedication to putting members at the heart of everything we do. These awards highlight HCF’s unwavering commitment to delivering value-for-money health insurance options, catering to the unique needs of nearly 2 million Australians nationwide.”

“At HCF, we continually strive to provide affordable and high-quality cover, ensuring our members feel supported throughout their healthcare journey. For over 90 years, we’ve been proud to offer what we call our uncommon difference.”

HCF’s recognition reinforces our breadth of offering, giving members the ease and convenience of managing all their health and insurance needs under one roof. The annual Canstar Health Insurance Awards are regarded as an industry benchmark for value, coverage and customer satisfaction with HCF’s continued dominance reflecting its mission to provide affordable, quality healthcare.

“Our not-for-profit status ensures our focus remains where it should be – on supporting members, not shareholders. Our members trust that we’re committed to providing exceptional care while keeping premiums as low as possible, even in a challenging economic environment,” Ms Jack said.

“Receiving Canstar’s Outstanding Value Award year after year shows we’re continually raising the bar in how we serve our members. Our mutual structure allows us to innovate for the long term and focus on what truly matters – supporting our members in achieving their health goals,” Ms Jack said.
