Latest Workforce Australia IT disaster shows system is broken

ACOSS is demanding an ongoing pause to the enforcement of mutual obligations following latest IT failures which have required the government to suspend them. Approved destruction of koala habitat tripled in 2024

The Albanese government, which committed to ‘no new extinctions’ in 2022, approved more than 25,000 hectares of threatened species habitat to be destroyed in 2024 – more than twice as much as the previous year, new analysis by the Australian Conservation Foundation reveals.
