Melbourne-based musical duo Patsy Toop OAM and David Baird, known as Patsy and Dave, are set to release their highly anticipated album 'The Willow' on September 6. This new project is made even more special by the involvement of Australian music icon Russell Morris, who collaborated with them on the title track and another song, 'Rumblin' Train'.

Expressing their immense gratitude, the duo shared, "Russell Morris is an absolute stalwart in the music industry, and he brought a whole new level to this single and our album. It's an experience we'll cherish forever, and we're so excited for everyone to hear what we've created together."

The album's title track, 'The Willow', co-written with Russell Morris, is inspired by a cherished childhood memory of a willow tree from Dave’s youth. For the duo, the tree represents resilience and strength in the face of life’s challenges.

Russell Morris expressed his delight, stating, "It was a pleasure to be invited to appear on The Willow Album as I've been a fan of their music for quite a while. Their song 'Cowboy Lonesome' is still one of my all-time favourites. This new album showcases their great scope of talent and creativity."

Patsy and Dave’s blend of Americana, country, and blues has already captured audiences, with their previous album 'Midnight Choir' debuting at #1 on the ARIA Country Chart. 'The Willow' promises to deliver more of the duo’s soulful storytelling and musical depth, set against the backdrop of life’s enduring strength and change.
