The Art of Bleisure by Emma Lovell: Travel the world, make money and live a life you love, now.

Emma Lovell 2 mins read

Do you feel like you’re stuck on a work treadmill and counting down the days to your next holiday or even retirement?

It doesn’t have to be that way - you can live a life you love NOW, with ‘bleisure’ - combining work and travel so you can see the world and make money at the same time.

Emma Lovell is proof you can combine work and leisure to live a life you love, and she’s visited 72 countries (and counting) while running her business and diversifying her income streams to support her lifestyle.

As a branding expert, freelance writer and business coach, Emma has been self-employed for 15 years and has used her skills and resourcefulness to visit wonders like the Taj Mahal and the Great Wall of China - without paying a cent.

Emma is an advocate for designing the life of your dreams, and following a non-traditional, non-linear career path - even if you’re paying a mortgage or parenting kids.

Whether you dream of seeing the world while being your own boss, or want to take a different career path and get off the corporate treadmill, in The Art of Bleisure, Emma reveals her secrets to diversifying income streams, making your money go further and attracting new opportunities into your life.

Part memoir, part travel book, part business book, The Art of Bleisure is full of practical advice on everything from setting up business systems to travelling on long-haul flights with a toddler, and inspiring stories of Emma’s international adventures.

In The Art of Bleisure, Emma Lovell:

  • Busts myths about travelling while working and explains why she’s much more than a ‘digital nomad’

  • Shares real-life stories from others who have embraced the bleisure lifestyle and how they’ve made it work

  • Gets real about how to make the bleisure life for you - even if you’re juggling work, family and life commitments

  • Gives practical tips, checklists and tools to inspire you to take action, today.

As a children’s writer and creative writing teacher, I’ve tried to stay loyal to that young-adult self, who couldn’t stop turning the pages. He helped me understand what young-adult fiction could do to counteract negative or cynical stories about 'young people today'. “Marsden’s Tomorrow books emerged…

Monash expert: Remembering Michael Leunig

Australian cartoonist, poet and writer Michael Leunig has died aged 79. His death was announced on social media: "The pen has run dry, its ink no longer flowing – yet Mr Curly and his ducks will remain etched in our hearts, cherished and eternal." A political cartoonist who despised politics, a poet whose poems were shamelessly unpoetic, a moralist who offended moralists, a mainstream media celebrity amidst the decline of mainstream media.’’…
