C29 Metals Strengthens Relationships with Regional Government in Kazakhstan, Receiving Ongoing Support for Ulytau Uranium Project

Perth, Australia – 25 October 2024 | C29 Metals Limited (ASX:C29) (“C29” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it has held constructive and positive meetings with key representatives of the Regional Government in southern Kazakhstan, where the flagship Ulytau Uranium Project is situated. The meetings were an important step in reinforcing the Company’s commitment to the region and its local communities, as well as securing government support for exploration activities.

Highlights:

  • Meeting with Regional Government: C29’s Managing Director, Shannon Green, and the local team met with senior government officials from the Regional Government of Taraz and the District Government of Mauynecum. 

  • Government Support: The Regional and District Governments provided assurances of support for the Ulytau Uranium Project, with recognitiion of its potential contribution to economic development for the region.

  • Commitment to Local Community: C29 reaffirmed a commitment to local work for the village of Aksuyek, which is located near the Ulytau Project, under the previously signed social support agreement from earlier in the year.

Ulytau Project Overview:

The Ulytau Uranium Project is located in the Almaty Region of southern Kazakhstan, approximately 15 km southwest of the Bota-Burum uranium mine – one of the largest uranium deposits mined during the Soviet Union era. 

Community Engagement:

C29 Metals has held two community consultation days in the village of Aksuyek, with the local population showing strong support for the Company’s planned exploration programs. The community will serve as an operations base for the project, providing essential support services to exploration teams and management.
