CIMIC Group company Leighton Asia has been awarded a further contract by the Elan Group to provide mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire (MEPF) services for phase 1 of The Presidential in Gurgaon, India.

This latest award extends Leighton Asia’s original civil and structural scope of works for The Presidential, a major residential development, which was awarded in August 2023. It brings total revenue at the project to approximately A$233 million for Leighton Asia.

CIMIC Group Executive Chairman Juan Santamaria said: “Leighton Asia has proven capabilities in delivering MEPF services to support the delivery of complex projects across Asia. We are pleased to work with one of the major developers in India to support the continuous growth of Gurgaon region.”

Leighton Asia Managing Director Brad Davey said: “Following the award of Elan Group’s residential project last year and mixed-use project this year, we are thrilled to secure another award from the same client. It is a strong testament of our effective safety and quality management, and project delivery.”

The scope of work for this contract includes supply, installation, testing and commissioning of MEPF services including car park ventilation works, low side electrical works, basement and common area light fixtures, plumbing and firefighting works.

Phase 1 of The Presidential project comprises civil and structural works, with a built-up area of more than 487,000sq m, a three-level common basement and eight residential towers. Each 32-storey tower has a height of 116m above ground.

The project has an Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold target.

The MEPF project will commence in October 2024 and is expected to be completed in Q4 2027.
