EMPORIUM MELBOURNE CELEBRATES TENTH BIRTHDAY WITH HOUSE PARTY

The House of Melbourne, Emporium Melbourne, is preparing to celebrate a decade of evolution, growth and culture, and everyone is invited. Over the past ten years, Melbourne has supported Emporium, and now it's time to thank the community for their loyalty, support, and ongoing patronage.

 

Kicking off today Thursday, October 24th Melburnians are welcomed to celebrate at Emporium Melbourne’s House Party. Delight in complimentary freshly shucked oysters at The Oyster Bar, curated cocktails at Decades – The Cocktail Bar pop up, Moments, an interactive photo activation and special retailer offers.

 

Come early evening, watch Emporium Melbourne light up with two runway shows at 5pm and 6:30pm in the iconic Little Bourke Street laneway. Reflecting the past, present and future of fashion, in collaboration with Melbourne Fashion Week, the runway will showcase a range of international and home-grown designers including Et Al Australia, Aje, Rebecca Vallance, Oroton, Maje, MJ Bale, and more.

 

Additionally, all are invited to participate in a centre-wide initiative Spend and Receive offer for one day only on Thursday, October 24th. For each $350 spent cumulatively across the day, shoppers will receive a $30 Emporium Melbourne gift card to use at any retailer that accepts Emporium Melbourne gift cards, whilst stocks last. 

 

Amy Wotton, General Manager of Brand & Marketing at Vicinity Centres, said the tenth birthday was the perfect opportunity to reflect on Emporium Melbourne's evolution into the House of Melbourne, boasting a long list of premium Australian and international designers.

From midday to 9pm, drinks at Decades – The Cocktail Bar on level one will be available for all. Raise a glass to ten years with a choice of a vodka tropical passionfruit cocktail or a gin-based concoction accented with rose and vanilla. In true Melbourne style, live DJs will be on the decks soundtracking Emporium Melbourne’s House Party.

 

On level two, discover The Oyster Bar from lunchtime until 8pm. Indulge in complimentary freshly shucked oysters topped with a choice of beet mignonette, chilli ginger spice, lemon-pepper granita or watermelon granita. Between refreshments, discover birthday deals and discounts at a range of retailers from Aje, Viktoria & Woods, Jo Mercer and more.

New study shows buying local fruit and veg in regional Victoria isn’t more expensive

18 February 2025 - A new study analysing fruit and vegetable prices in regional Victoria shows that locally grown produce doesn’t necessarily cost more than fruit and veg grown outside of the region. Health experts say the findings are good news for household budgets, local communities, local farmers and retailers, as well as the environment. The study, published today in theAustralian and New Zealand Journal of Public Health, investigated the prices of 36 commonly consumed fruits and vegetables in the Loddon Campaspe area of regional Victoria to determine whether their price varied depending on where they were grown and sold.…
