JAIMA: “The Symposium on Environmental Pollution Control” Held in Thailand

The Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association (JAIMA, address: 2-5-16 Kanda Nishiki-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 101-0054, President: Masayuki Adachi/President of Horiba, Ltd.) is an industrial association of analytical and measuring instrument manufacturers where its committees are engaged in activities in the fields of technical affairs, public relations, standardization, statistics, intellectual property and etc. In the overseas market we work to solve social issues through analytical and measuring technologies in cooperation with related organizations by organizing several kinds of activities.

JAIMA holds a symposium in Bangkok every year, and this year we plan to organize symposium on “air and water pollution control” for government agencies, research institutes and related companies in both countries to share their experiences and knowledge and to make proposals for solving these environmental issues such as environmental policies, pollution source analysis, monitoring technologies and human resource development. We would appreciate it if you could join us.

NSW EPA MEDIA STATEMENT – EPA UPDATE ON SYDNEY BEACHES

EPA UPDATE ON SYDNEY BEACHES NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) officers inspected Coogee Beach, Gordons Bay and Maroubra Beaches this morning. Due to the presence of balls at these beaches, EPA officers are also inspecting neighbouring beaches as ocean movements could push balls to other beaches. Balls have now been observed in debris on Bondi, Bronte, Clovelly, Congong, Frenchmans, Little Bay, Malabar and Tamarama beaches. The EPA is supporting Randwick City Council with its clean-up of Coogee Beach and Gordons Bay and has offered support to Waverley Council.
