Rydges Fortitude Valley announces magical stays package

Abraca-Brisbane: welcome to the city of magic!

As the home of the critically acclaimed Theatre of Magic, RYDGES FORTITUDE VALLEY has announced a truly magical stay package – called the Groove & Gourmet package, it includes one nights’ accommodation, $100 Dining credit for Bar Gusto or Six Acres, buffet breakfast for two and complimentary secure parking from *$334.00 per couple. Theatre of Magic shows run across each Friday and Saturday night, tickets via the website below.

The up-close magic phenomenon, Theatre of Magic has just turned ONE in Brisbane. The first of its kind in Queensland now #1 on Trip Advisor for theatre events in South East Queensland, and one of the few dedicated magic theatres in the world, Theatre of Magic is the brainchild of master magician, producer and stage star, Christopher Wayne, co-creator of the worldwide smash hit and the biggest Australian magic show in history, The Naked Magicians, as well as creator of the family magic spectacular Showmen. Christopher is joined on stage by two fellow magic-makers in the acclaimed card-master Josh Norbido, who consults card magic in films including "Oceans 9" and "Poker Face", and Kerry ‘Nigel’ Domann, an exceptional entertainer who has captivated audiences around the world with his unique blend of magic, comedy, charm and memory (he can remember 40 names off just a handshake).

To mark the 12 month anniversary, the show has announced a residency at The Library Theatre at Rydges Fortitude Valley – with two shows staged every weekend.

“Brisbane has nothing like this.  It has never had anything like this.  We have found a way to bring the worlds best magic to audiences in an intimate setting, and the show just gets better and better. We have welcomed some of the world’s best magicians from across Australia & the world already including Australia’s own Magic Mike from Melbourne and the legendary and multi-award winning US magician, Michael Ammar, who was named by Magic Magazine  as "one of the Most Influential Magicians in the Twentieth Century."

“Modelled to create an experience like the world famous “Magic Castle” in Los Angeles, our audience can expect an elegant evening of magic that is world class - experienced just inches away from their faces, in a wonderful 40-seat library theatre in the Bowen Hills King Street precinct, full of great bars and restaurants,” said Wayne.  “When Brisbane entertainers get big, they move down south or overseas - we are bringing the best magic in the world to Brisbane’s front door. Brisbane has always batted well above its average in terms of being home to fantastic artists, musicians, writers and creators, so creating a dedicated Magic Theatre and show puts an indelible line under our city as grown up, and absolutely magic!”
