Multicultural Water Safety Day at City Beach tomorrow

 

What: The NSW Office of Sport in collaboration with Illawarra Multicultural Services, Multicultural Communities Council Illawarra, Surf Life Saving NSW, Royal Life Saving, Wollongong City Council, University of Wollongong, and other local stakeholders will host a free Multicultural Water Safety Day at Wollongong City Beach.

 

The event aims to empower multicultural communities in the Illawarra with the skills and confidence to safely enjoy local waters.

 

It will feature interactive educational sessions including a live rip dye and resuscitation demonstrations, hands-on practical activities and the opportunity to engage with facilitators and local organisations.

 

When:  10am on Friday, 11 October (demonstrations commence 10.30am)

 

Where: Wollongong City Beach, Marine Drive, Wollongong

 

Photo opportunity: Attendees and organisers participating in activities. Spokespeople from the various organisations delivering the event will also be available for interview.
