CHAMPAGNE POMMERY CELEBRATES GLOBAL ELEGANCE WITH THE UNVEILING OF THE 2024 ‘BATIK’ WORLD COLLECTION

Tide Communications 2 mins read

The world’s most well-travelled Champagne House has embraced the enchanting natural landscapes and traditional art forms of Indonesia for this year's World Collection, launching early November 2024.

Pommery’s 2024 World Collection celebrates the beauty of culture with vibrant patterns and colours that elegantly translate into three limited-edition bespoke gift box designs. Each work of art reflects the diversity and cultural significance of ancient techniques. The 2024 BATIK World Collection features three Pommery Cuvées, including Brut Royal NV, Brut Rosé NV and Grand Cru 2009 vintage.

The name BATIK is derived from the Indonesian word "titik" meaning point, which refers to the traditional method of wax dot designs. Over centuries, these dots evolved into carefully curated lines, which grew into beautiful patterns that define the art form today. In Indonesia, this art form holds a revered place in society, historically reserved for royalty and significant life events such as marriages, births, and other milestones.

Madame Pommery, a trailblazer in the Champagne industry, famously named the galleries of her cellars after major cities around the globe that her Champagne had reached. In the spirit of her international appreciation, the World Collection continues to honour the art of travel year-in-year-out, drawing inspiration from some of the world’s most cherished philosophies.

As the festive months draw near, the BATIK Collection makes for the perfect pop of colour to every celebration. Whether a centrepiece for a celebration or a thoughtful gift, the 2024 limited edition range offers both beauty and flavour.

Available through all major stockists from early November, the collection is set to be the must-have this season.
