LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! COLES KICKS OFF BLACK FRIDAY WITH A BLOCKBUSTER GIVEAWAY
FREE cinema tickets for HOYTS, Village and Event cinemas with Coles online orders over $100

Get your popcorn ready because Coles is turning Black Friday into a blockbuster extravaganza, kicking off its event with a giveaway of 160,000 cinema tickets for customers to score as part of their online grocery shop.

The magic of the movies is just a click away as from today until Friday 15 November Coles customers will receive one cinema ticket for FREE when they spend $100 on coles.com.au or via the Coles app, with a maximum of two tickets per order. [1] (Excludes Coles for Business customers).

With research revealing that 58% of Coles customers are cutting back on going to the movies due to the cost of living, Coles is giving Aussies the opportunity to catch highly anticipated new releases just by doing their regular shop.[2]

Coles’ customers in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory can enjoy a night out at Hoyts cinema. For those in Tasmania, it’s a trip to Village cinema, and Northern Territory shoppers can catch the latest flicks at Event cinemas.

The cinema tickets can be redeemed Monday to Thursday and are valid until 31 May 2025 - giving shoppers plenty of time to plan their movie marathons during the summer school holidays.

Customers won’t want to miss the epic line up of new releases coming to theatres including Wicked, Mufasa, Gladiator 2, Moana 2, Lord of the Rings, Joker, Venom, Mufasa, Paddington in Peru and more. Whether you're into action, adventure, or a bit of musical magic, there's something for everyone.

Coles Executive General Manager, CFCs and Digital Merchandising, Jonathan Torr said Coles’ Black Friday extravaganza would provide customers with value on their grocery shops in the lead up to Christmas and make the cinema experience more accessible.

“We’re excited to launch Coles’ biggest ever Black Friday event with three weeks of offers and new ways to reward our customers who shop with us online,” Jonathan said.

“This Black Friday event is our way of saying thank you to our loyal customers and we’re delighted to be giving them the opportunity to enjoy the latest blockbuster movies just by doing their regular grocery shopping.”

As part of the Black Friday event, over the next three weeks Coles customers will be able to shop more than a thousand online only promotions with savings of up to 50% to stock up for the Christmas and summer season.

Plus, from today new Coles online customers can score 30 x Flybuys points on their first online shop until Tuesday 3 December.[3]
