Perth, WA | Tomorrow, the Women’s Auxiliary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (‘Lajna Ima’illah WA’) will host Western Australia’s second annual peace symposium, an inspiring event organized by women for a women-only audience with this year’s theme focusing on Human Rights.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, 16 November 2024
  • Time: 4:30 PM
  • Location: Nasir Mosque (239 Barrington Street, Bibra Lake, WA 6163)

This symposium will bring together influential women speakers, including Senator Fatima Payman (Senator for WA), Deputy Mayor Chontelle Sands (City of Cockburn), Dr. Renae Barker (Law and Religion Expert, Senior Lecturer at UWA), Ms. Sky Dawson (Buddhist Women’s Association Rep in WA), and Mrs. Wafiiqah Bhugeloo-Hadi (Women’s Auxiliary Rep of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community). The evening will ignite bold discussions and shake up traditional narratives about role of women pertaining to these very important objectives.

“This symposium is not just an event; it is a movement towards recognising and amplifying the indispensable role of women in promoting peace and justice,” said the Outreach Lead and Event Manager - Miss Lubna Bhugeloo.

“We are excited to create a space where women can engage openly and meaningfully about the issues that matter to them.”

A special feature of the program is an interactive exhibition, offering participants a unique space for networking and building community connections. This will be followed by a delicious dinner, prepared especially by volunteers, allowing for further engagement and celebration of unity.
