COLES HELP FAMILIES GET READY FOR RUDOLPH

Free reindeer carrots available at Coles stores nationwide for the 77% of kids who leave treats for Santa and his team

Coles is bringing extra festive joy to households this Christmas by giving away free carrots to families to ensure Santa’s reindeer are fuelled up and ready to deliver gifts around the world next week.

From Friday 20 December until Christmas Eve, customers can collect a free Reindeer Carrot from the special collection point as they leave their local Coles store.

A recent survey of Coles customers revealed that more than three quarters of households with young kids leave snacks out for Santa and his reindeer, with cookies and carrots topping the list[1].

The return of the popular free carrot collection point in stores will help families make final festive preparations easier by ensuring Rudolph and his crew don’t go hungry on their biggest night of the year.

The supply of Reindeer Carrot is made possible thanks to the generous contribution of five growers from across the country, who have donated 55 tonnes of carrots for the special Christmas program - these nutritious and delicious carrots are sure to delight Dasher, Dancer, and Rudolph.

Coles General Manager Commercial Produce, Charlotte Gilbert said the supermarket was thrilled to launch free reindeer carrots this year, as a sustainable way to ensure every reindeer gets their fuel for a sleigh-packed night.

“Free reindeer carrots are a fantastic way to reduce food waste while spreading holiday cheer — by giving these perfectly edible carrots a purpose, we’re not only ensuring Santa’s reindeer have a treat while on their big journey but also supporting our commitment to sustainability,” she said.

“We’re all about helping families create cherished traditions and what better way than with a little extra magic for Rudolph and his friends?”

Customers can pick up their free carrots at Coles stores nationwide from Friday 20 to Tuesday 24 December, just in time for Santa’s arrival.
