Highland Moves Into The Northern Rivers Region Announcing Kasey Pereira to head up Highland Northern Rivers

Off the back of their recent announcement of established Gold Coast agent Hanan Cawley as Managing Director of Highland Gold Coast, Highland Group is further expanding into the region, making a big splash in the residential real estate market just before the Christmas break. The newest acquisition of Tweed Heads local Kasey Pereira along with a new office at 4/133 Wharf St, Tweed Heads, allows Highland to offer real estate solutions to the entire Northern Rivers locale, cementing the independent network in the area and furthering their brand reach which was already extensive from the Gold Coast, throughout greater Sydney and to the Southern Highlands. The concerted push into the Far-North NSW and South-East Queensland areas strengthens the brand’s presence and brings a new age of real estate into these areas.

Kasey Pereira has had a long-standing career in sales and marketing, with a decade in the local real estate industry, and the alignment with Highland came at the perfect time for him. “I have a long association with Hanan Cawley, who also recently joined as a member of the Highland team, he linked me up with David [Highland] and after speaking with them and getting an understanding of their vision for the brand in the area, it just made sense to align my plans with Highland. I am incredibly excited to be a part of this merger and expansion.”

The synergies between what Mr Pereira wanted to create in his own brand and what Highland was doing in Sydney, is something that drew him to the strategic move. “I have always admired what Highland has achieved in Sydney and beyond. They present as a highly professional brand with an industry leading platform alongside a fantastic culture and that is something that I have now experienced first hand and can attest to personally,” he remarked. “For a business of such a scale to uphold a culture of togetherness, support and connection across their network is something to be commended and I can’t wait to see what we can do with that into the future.”

It was these points of difference that also drew Hanan Cawley to the move to Highland which was announced at the beginning of December. “It’s that professionalism, structure and culture that David Highland has been able to cultivate over 17 years in the Sydney region that made my decision to join the team an easy one.”

As Managing Director of Highland Gold Coast, Hanan is responsible for growth and leadership throughout Highland’s South-East Queensland and Northern Rivers expansion. At a group level, Highland is looking for strategic partnerships to further grow their prestige offerings to clients in the North. “For Kasey to be the first announcement as the newest Highland team member in the Northern Rivers area, I believe that shows a real strength for what we are building here for our clients and the community. Having known and admired Kasey for years, we have had a fairly similar background in the industry, so we are incredibly excited to have him on board and having his expertise to help me really solidify what Highland can be in the South-East Queensland and Northern Rivers areas. We are looking forward to officially launching the new office in 2025.”

Highland Northern Rivers is the 8th office to join the Highland Network – Sydney’s leading independent real estate group. With an extensive database of over 400,000 clients and unprecedented reach, the team of over 200 in the Highland network offer real estate solutions in residential sales, property management, property investment, commercial and site acquisitions and project marketing as well as a financial services and marine services branches.
