JD Sports Opens Southern Hemisphere’s largest JD Megastore
Joining Berlin, London and Paris - Highpoint is the new home for the global retailer’s biggest southern hemisphere store
Highpoint, Victoria, 5th December – Renowned global retailer JD Sports has reopened in Highpoint with the creation of a true megastore - the retailer’s largest in the southern hemisphere and 67th store opening in Australia since the brand landed here 7 years ago. Crowds of Melbourne shoppers lined up outside to shop the latest in international sports and street style, JD global exclusives and sought-after sneaker styles and enjoy the beginning of month-long celebrations in store.

The Megastore concept features cutting-edge store design and a bold integration of never-before-seen store fixtures, elevated brand shop-in-shops (SISs), and first-to-market CX technology including in-store activation zones, a Footwear Sushi Train, and digital based Home of Air Nike Shop-in-Shop.
While Highpoint isn't a new centre for JD, the relocated store will serve as a true JD megastore execution, joining the likes of Berlin, London and Paris. Leading up to Christmas, exclusive activation zones will reward shoppers with special gifts with purchase ranging from JD Sports gift cards and miniature Nike Air Max 95s to unique experiences including a photobooth, live DJ’s, JD duffle bag customisation, and complimentary gift wrapping.
The store will be open to fashion enthusiasts from 9am on the 5th of December, welcoming shoppers to explore a diverse range of footwear, apparel and accessories, while additionally offering a curated selection of JD global exclusives and sought-after sneaker styles.
Sports fashion aficionados can look forward to discovering limited-edition releases from top global brands including Nike, adidas, New Balance, ASICS, The North Face, and more. The store will debut a range of JD Sports exclusive drops, including iconic Nike Air Max 95s, Nike Shox, adidas Originals Sambas, retro Air Jordans and New Balance 740s.
JD Sports Highpoint marks the 67th location for JD Sports in Australia since its inception seven years ago, solidifying its position as a leader in global sports and streetwear retail.
