MEU ALERT: Mining and Energy Union to appear before Inquiry Into Nuclear Power Generation in Australia in Muswellbrook

Representatives from the MEU Northern Mining and NSW Energy District will appear at a public hearing in Muswellbrook for the Inquiry Into Nuclear Power Generation in Australia.
 
District President, Robin Williams and MEU Delegate and power station worker Scott King will tell the Committee that nuclear energy is not a viable alternative industry for coal-fired power station workers who are facing closure in the next five to ten years.
 
The House Select Committee on Nuclear Energy was established by the House of Representatives in October 2024 and is chaired by Dan Repacholi MP.
