No potty idea, this mobile toilet: World-first water-free Clesana C1 wipes out pongs, reinvents hygiene, boosts sustainability

Clesana 2 mins read

The world’s first mobile water-free toilet with welded shut sanitary bag is being introduced to Australia by exclusive national distributor, Clesana Australia, to curb odour and eliminate close handling of human waste.

The proven European portable toilet can be used anywhere in the RV, marine, and tourist facility industries where mobility and hygiene need to be simplified, including in caravans, RVs, five wheelers, in yachts, and other camping and marine applications.

“This innovation re-invents hygiene, comfort, and environmental sustainability in the one product,” says Clesana Australia Director, Sebastian Langton.

“It wipes out, in one stroke, so many of the odour, waste handling, and associated mucky problems and environmental and health issues that come with many types of cassette toilets, chemical toilets, composting toilets, and dry fluid toilets where waste does not seal properly.”

“By heat-sealing used waste containers – which come in rolls of 100 – the Clesana method removes any need to handle human waste and other muck that goes into a toilet. The pongs and waste that go in the bag, stay in the bag – nothing needs to be manually sorted, scraped, handled, carried distances or quickly dumped on campsite or aquatic facilities, which is what often happens.”

“Who wants to spend tens and hundreds of thousands on an RV or yacht, only to have the stink of waste or chemicals permeating the pristine natural environment you have travelled far to enjoy. Or, worse still, having to dig into the waste to remove it and pollute yourself and the environment, including bushland and fragile water systems?”

For manufacturers and fitout specialists of quality RV and marine products, Clesana offers unique sales advantages. For individual camping and marine adventurers, the product offers advantages in comfort, hygiene, practicality, and environmental sensitivity. Features include:

  • Easy operation. Pressing the big button on the Clesana heat seals the contents of the bag. Small waste can be left until there is enough in the bag to seal, as the user prefers. Big waste can be sealed immediately.

  • Uncompromisingly effective liner foil system for the bags used, which contains not only the waste, but also the germs, bacteria and viruses necessary for a clean, secure and odour-free environment.

  • Easily disposable bags, which can be treated as household and general waste, compared with less secure methods which can pollute camping, recreational, tourist and aquatic environments and damage their pristine attraction, which is the reason people go there in the first place.

  • Easy installation and retrofitting to any application which is not connected to conventional plumbing, which may include tiny homes, adventure cabins and facilities in remote tourist facilities
