NYE vantage point update

The City of Sydney and NSW Police are advising that multiple vantage points around the foreshore are now at full capacity ahead of tonight’s New Year’s Eve celebrations.

 

 

Areas that are full as at 5pm are:

 

  • Circular Quay
  • Hickson Road Reserve / Campbells Cove
  • Sydney Opera House
  • Royal Botanic Gardens of Sydney
  • North Sydney precinct

 

Other areas that are quickly filling include:

 

  • The Rocks
  • Barangaroo

 

If you wish to watch the fireworks from around the foreshore, please plan ahead and check the vantage point map on the sydneynewyearseve.com website for other options and live updates.

 

For those planning to stay at home, you can watch the ABC’s live broadcast from the Sydney Opera House on TV or online. ABC TV will broadcast live from Sydney Harbour at 8:30pm. The 9pm and midnight fireworks will also be live streamed on the official website and on ABC iview.

 

You can also listen to the exclusive soundtracks at 9pm and midnight on KIIS 1065.
