Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania’s team up with Victoria Police for annual Christmas Toy Giving Day

 

Ronald McDonald House Charities Victoria & Tasmania is excited to team up with Victoria Police for the 22nd annual Christmas Toy Giving Day.

 

Melbourne North Police Officers are delivering donated toys and Christmas festivities to children at Ronald McDonald House Parkville this Saturday, along with Santa himself!  The Officers will be showing off their police cars and motorbikes to the children at the House, and will be joined by an extra special hot rods show as well as a BBQ lunch and a visit from reptiles and some furry friends!

We work to enhance the quality of life for families with sick children by providing a home-away-from-home that is welcoming and provides what they need, in a caring and supportive way, to keep them together when they need it most.

Urgent action needed to save lives after Victorian bushfire outlook

Council to Homeless Persons has urged the Victorian Government to immediately fund more homelessness outreach workers after a new bushfire warning for large parts of the state. The Australian Seasonal Bushfire Outlook for Summer has forecast an increased risk of fires across most of western and northeastern Victoria, parts of greater Melbourne, Mornington Peninsula and southwest Gippsland after a lack of rainfall made more fuels available.
