Strathpine Aged Care Resident Bryan Doyle Honoured in Queensland Rail’s 130th Anniversary Edition

Castalia Group 2 mins read

Strathpine Aged Care is proud to share that resident Bryan Doyle has been featured in the Queensland Rail Express 130th Anniversary edition. The special publication highlights the incredible legacy of the Doyle family, highlighting how four generations have dedicated themselves to Queensland Rail.

Bryan Doyle’s remarkable career spans 46 years, his contribution reflects a lifelong commitment to Queensland Rail and the communities it serves. Bryan's dedication and leadership embody the values that have been passed down through the Doyle family across generations.

To mark this special occasion, Bryan will be attending the local Petrie train station on Friday, 20th December to meet with Queensland Rail staff. The visit celebrates not only the Queensland Rail milestone but also the Doyle family’s enduring impact on the organisation.

"It is an honour to see my family’s history featured in Queensland Rail’s 130th Anniversary edition," said Bryan Doyle. "Queensland Rail has been a cornerstone of my life and my family’s story. I’m proud of what we have accomplished and grateful to be a part of this legacy."

Sadly, Bryan lost the love of his life earlier this year when his partner of 69 years, ‘Patti’, passed away. Since then, he has actively engaged with his local community at Strathpine Aged Care, joining in exercises, concerts, special events, men’s club, residents meetings.

Also proactive with suggestions for activities/ improving our home, Bryan is the unofficial spokesperson, always ready with a speech even at last minute, welcoming residents to the home, conducting Anzac Day / Remembrance Day services or to farewell much loved staff.
