Toy retailer exits Australian warehouses with $1 Fire Sale Auction

Lloyds Auctioneers and Valuers 2 mins read

Renowned global toy manufacturer KidKraft is closing its Australian warehouse operations and Lloyds Auctions are conducting a massive clearance auction scheduled for Saturday, December 21 to clear over $800,000 worth of premium toys and furniture.

Starting at just $1 with no reserves, this event marks the brand's farewell to Australia warehouses.

The auction, managed by Lloyds Auctions, will take place online across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne, giving Australian families a chance to purchase brand-new, in-box KidKraft products just in time for Christmas with pickup available from Lloyds Melbourne, Sydney and Southeast Queensland locations in the two days before Christmas or in early 2025

A Legacy of Imagination and Quality:

KidKraft, founded over 50 years ago in the United States, is renowned for its high-quality, imaginative toys and furniture. From play kitchens and dollhouses to outdoor playsets, the brand has been a favourite among families worldwide, fostering creativity and joy in children.

The company’s warehouse closure in Australia comes after KidKraft filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the United States in May 2024. Despite its challenges, KidKraft will continue its operations.

A Unique Opportunity for Australian Shoppers:

“This is a one-off opportunity for Australians to grab KidKraft’s beloved products at prices you’d never see in stores,” said Lee Hames, Chief Operations Officer of Lloyds Auctions. “All items are brand-new and perfect for last-minute Christmas gifts. There are more than 4,200 premium items going under the hammer, providing families the chance to own these products at a fraction of the retail price.”

The auction, with $1 starting bids and no reserves, is expected to attract strong interest from bargain hunters and families seeking high-quality toys and furniture.

Unmissable Christmas Deals:

The timing of the auction, just days before Christmas, presents an incredible opportunity for shoppers to secure premium toys and furniture as thoughtful gifts for loved ones. Items up for grabs include KidKraft’s iconic dollhouses, intricately designed play kitchens, and durable outdoor playsets.

Bidders can browse the full catalogue and participate in the auction via Lloyds Auctions’ website at www.lloydsauctions.com.au.

About KidKraft:

For over five decades, KidKraft has built a reputation for its innovative designs and durable craftsmanship. The company’s toys and furniture have been recognized for their ability to inspire creative play and enhance family spaces.
