Marmota Limited (ASX:MEU) Strikes Bonanza Gold Grades of 107 g/t at Campfire Bore Prospect, South Australia

Jane Morgan Management 2 mins read

29 January 2025 - Sydney, Australia | Marmota Limited (ASX:MEU) is pleased to announce its recent bonanza gold grades of up to 107 g/t at its Campfire Bore gold discovery. These results come from the company’s first-ever drilling program at site within the highly prospective Gawler Craton in South Australia.

Highlights

  • Exceptional Grades:

    • 107 g/t gold from 57m to 58m below surface in Hole 24CBRC062.

    • 13 intersections with grades over 10 g/t gold, including 5m @ 12 g/t, 3m @ 11 g/t, and 3m @ 10 g/t.

  • Significant Intersections:

    • 5 intersections that have exceeded 20 g/t gold.

Results coming from high-quality 1m split assays, following initial 4m composite results (in December 2024).

The Project

Campfire Bore, part of Marmota’s Golden Moon Joint Venture (90% ownership), has been able to demonstrate significant potential for further expansion:

  • Southern high-grade zone shows substantial open extensions south and east.

  • Mineralisation spans a strike of more than 1.5km, with many earlier drill holes being less than 30m deep, leaving considerable room for further exploration.

The program marks the first drilling activity at Campfire Bore since 2018. There have been 86 reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled for Stage 1 for a total of 11,690m. Stage 2 of drilling, including additional follow-up holes, is now being planned.

Commenting on the results, Dr Colin Rose, Executive Chairman of Marmota, stated: Marmota is progressing a pipeline of gold deposits in the Gawler Craton, to follow on after Aurora Tank. We are delighted to already be finding bonanza grade gold over 100 g/t in the first stage of our first ever drilling program at Campfire Bore.
