This community plans to hold an event as a gesture to the opportunity and quality of life this beautiful country has given them. For them this day is important to acknowledge the religious freedom, freedom of speech and dialogue that Australia has provided.
The event will commence at 11am AM Sunday, the 26th of January with the national anthem. Some children will deliver short speeches on what being Australian means to them. The community will honour recipients of high academic achievement and community service with Australia Day Awards with the event wrapping up with a BBQ lunch.
