RACV has completed a comprehensive upgrade of its electric vehicle (EV) charger network at its resorts, City Club and public locations across Victoria, enhancing their speed and reliability.

The upgraded network includes public sites at Ballarat, Barnawartha North, Euroa, Horsham, Moe, Torquay and one of Australia’s most-used public EV charging locations at Airport West. Each public site now features new chargers that will provide up to 50 kilowatt and 350 kilowatt direct-current connections.

At RACV’s Inverloch, Cape Schanck and Healesville Resorts, as well as its Noble Park office, new 50 DC kilowatt direct-current chargers have also been installed.

In addition, the chargers available to RACV Members and guests at RACV’s Healesville, Torquay, Inverloch, Cape Schanck, Goldfields, Noosa and Royal Pines Resorts, as well as the City Club, have been upgraded to 22 AC kilowatt chargers.

The RACV Torquay Resort chargers are also available to the public.

RACV Members will receive a 10 per cent discount across the entire RACV network and each charger can be found using the EV charger finder feature in the RACV app, with access to real-time updates and station availability.

RACV General Manager Energy Services Greg Edye said the upgrades aim to meet the growing demand for EV infrastructure in Victoria and deliver a more reliable charging experience at key regional and metropolitan sites.

"RACV’s EV network upgrade reflects our continued commitment to helping Victorians reach their destination safely and efficiently,” Mr Edye said.

"Our focus has been to deliver reliable, fast-charging solutions across Victoria, to support RACV Members and customers with keeping their vehicles fully charged for their journey."

Each RACV charging site will also feature CCTV security cameras, providing a safer environment for members and customers while charging their EV and helping to prevent vandalism.

TALENT ALERT: Experts say Coalition’s gas plan will lock in climate pollution for decades to come

Friday, March 28 Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s budget reply details the federal Coalition’s polluting policies on energy and climate change including $1.3 billion in handouts for multinational gas corporations during a cost of living crisis. Also entirely absent from the budget reply was costings for the Opposition’s nuclear scheme, begging the question: was it ever a serious plan, or a ploy for more coal and gas? Gas is a polluting fossil fuel whose role in the energy system is small and shrinking. Experts say that by subsidising the gas industry, the federal Coalition would be adding to dangerous climate pollution,…
