RACV GOLDFIELDS RESORT CELEBRATES AUSTRALIA’S BIG THINGS IN ARTHOUSE EXHIBITION

RACV 2 mins read

ArtHouse at RACV Goldfields Resort has opened its newest exhibition, Big Things for a Big Country Road Trip, by Australian artist Holly-Anne Buck, also known as Collagism.

Open now and free to the public until 16 March, the exhibition invites visitors on a reimagined journey through Australia's iconic “Big Things” – large-scale tourist attractions scattered across the country.

Using AI and traditional collage techniques, Collagism brings these larger-than-life symbols of Australian culture to life.

RACV Head of Visual Arts Mardi Nowak said the exhibition weaves together nostalgia and technology and takes the whole family on a journey.

“With Big Things for a Big Country Road Trip, Collagism really takes us on journey through some of our most-loved culture, adding new layers of meaning and exploration,” Ms Nowak said.

“This is an exhibition that the whole family can enjoy – all while taking in the beauty of the natural surrounds of the RACV Goldfields Resort.”

In addition to the main exhibition, visitors can engage with the art through a hands-on activity, creating their own postcards using collage or drawing in the spirit of Collagism’s creative process.

The exhibition will also be complemented by a special outdoor gallery, showcasing Collagism’s larger-than-life artworks within the grounds of the RACV Goldfields Resort.

In addition, the exhibition Remix, Remake, Rearrange will be on display at the resort's Pro Shop until 2 March. Those interested in attending the exhibition can combine it with booking at the RACV Goldfields Resort, where, as a member, you can receive a 40 per cent discount on your stay if you stay three nights or more – terms and conditions apply.
