*Imagery and vision HERE

With the dust still settling on news that Clermont’s Brady Fielder is now the *number one bull rider in the world, (and his success continues in the USA as he edges ever closer to the Gold Buckle) news that the GRAND FINAL TICKETS are up for grabs from this Friday is sure to excited fans, especially given the calibre of riders Australia has right now, plus the incredible talent of juniors.  The Grand Finals will see $150,000 in prize money up for grabs, with the number one bull rider in Australia taking home an additional $100,000 bonus. Makes for a helluva 8 seconds!!

Twenty-year-old young gun Bull Rider Ben Bode from Calliope in Central Queensland has his eyes firmly set on the 2025 PBR Champion buckle, and after taking out the opening PBR Australia Tour event at Scone in New South Wales recently, he’s one of the leaders, and is looking to  TOWNSVILLE at the end of October. Bode grew up always wanting to ride bulls (starting on poddy calves and working his way up) and has competed in the USA several times. Two years ago he won the National Rodeo Association Reserve Champion Under 18 Bull Rider title and now is focused on the Australia PBR title at the Grand Finals. BODE is available for interview on request.

“Our world class Aussies continue to take the USA by storm in the PBR, the biggest and most competitive bull riding event across the globe, and our Australian competition is acclaimed as the source of some of the best in the world. Come the end of October, the global bull riding eyes will all be fixed on Townsville to witness the best of Aussie’s best,” said PBR Australia General Manager Glen Young .

“Just two weeks ago we saw the chutes officially open on the 2025 season in Scone, and it’s a season that will see our champions and fan favourites return to the arena, new and rising stars will take their turn in the spotlight, and our juniors will start their journey. There’s an exciting year ahead for Professional Bull Riding in Australia as the sport grows and grows,” said Glen.

The biggest names in Australian Bull Riding are BACK and ready to buck with the best - 2024 Champion and 2024 Rookie of the Year Boston Leather, and brother Macaulie Leather (both from Calliope in Queensland), 2023 Champion and 2024 Australian Champion Runner Up are both in fine form. Fan favourites - Ben Bode (also from Calliope Queensland) and Zane Hall (Athol, Queensland), the 2023 Rookie of the Year are both back. “We are also looking forward to our Australian riders on teams who also get wild cards into the Grand Finals, as well as some other international teams riders returning to compete,” said Glen.

AUSTRALIA’S BEST BUCKING BULL TO BE CROWNED – it’s not just bull riders who are on the road to the Grand Finals, the event will also crown the Bucking Bull of Australia. At Scone two weeks ago the MJ/Keliher Bull “The Warden” let everyone know he is a serious contender after winning the Bull of the Event with an impressive 44 point out. The bull is part owned by Townsville Businessman, Mitch James. Keep an eye on his chute!
