KSC Claims Supports the Establishment of DVA’s Institute of Veteran Advocates

KSC Claims 2 mins read

Brisbane, Australia – KSC Claims welcomes the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) initiative to establish the Institute of Veteran Advocates, recognising its potential to improve the claims process and deliver better outcomes for those who have served.

As a trusted advocacy service assisting veterans with their DVA claims, KSC Claims has long emphasised the need for a system that prioritises transparency, efficiency, timely responses to veterans, and inclusive support for veterans from all backgrounds. The Institute of Veteran Advocates represents a crucial step in addressing inconsistencies and delays that have historically impacted veterans navigating the claims process.

At KSC Claims, we believe every veteran deserves access to a fair and efficient claims process,” said Luke Armstrong, Founder of KSC Claims. “The new Institute of Veteran Advocates (link) has the potential to reinforce best practices, improve accountability, and enhance the overall experience for veterans engaging with the DVA.

The Institute’s establishment comes at a time when concerns have been raised regarding the variable quality of advocacy services available to veterans. Recent reports have highlighted low-quality advocacy and unmeritorious claiming behaviour. KSC Claims remains committed to ensuring veterans receive the support they need and continues to advocate for stronger regulation in the advocacy space, particularly for fee-for-service providers.

KSC Claims urges the DVA to continue its efforts in implementing the findings of the Royal Commission and to ensure the Institute is equipped with strong regulatory oversight, a commitment to professional standards, and mechanisms to address systemic issues that have previously hindered the claims process. By fostering collaboration between professional advocates, legal representatives, and policymakers, the Institute has the opportunity to drive meaningful reform that benefits all veterans.
