RACV DRIVE SCHOOL SUPPORTS BERRY STREET STUDENTS TO GET ON THE ROAD

RACV 2 mins read

Two students from Berry Street School are celebrating after successfully obtaining their driver’s licences with the support of RACV Drive School, a significant milestone which will enable them to access opportunities such as education and employment.

Lachlan from Berry Street’s Ballarat campus and Justin from the Narre Warren campus are both proud probationary license holders after completing sponsored RACV Drive School lessons.

The partnership between RACV Drive School and Berry Street School has seen students like Lachlan and Justin gain access to experienced instructors to help them develop safe driving skills. The collaboration is a key part of RACV’s ongoing commitment to supporting young drivers and promoting road safety across Victoria.

RACV Driver Education and Development Manager Silvia Morris said RACV Drive School is proud to have supported the students in achieving this important life skill.

“Learning to drive is a key step toward independence and opportunity, and we are delighted to have assisted Lachlan and Justin in gaining their licences,” Ms Morris said.

“RACV Drive School is committed to empowering young drivers with the confidence and knowledge they need to stay safe on our roads.”

Berry Street School Education Support & Work Experience Co-ordinator Jeremy Haigh praised the program’s impact on students, highlighting the opportunities it creates for young people facing unique challenges.

“For many of our students, gaining a driver’s licence is more than just learning to drive – it opens up new possibilities for employment, education, and personal independence,” Mr Haigh said.

“We are incredibly grateful to RACV Drive School for their generosity and commitment to supporting young people at Berry Street School.”

RACV Drive School offers comprehensive driver education programs tailored to new drivers, with a strong focus on safety and confidence behind the wheel.
