15 March, Sydney, Australia. Today the Australian Museum (AM) hosts Climate Solutions Saturday, as part of Climate Action Week Sydney 2025. The day features a dynamic and informative series of bite-sized events focused on inspiring and empowering individuals, communities, and industries to embark on positive action on climate change.

Throughout Saturday, drop in to the many sessions at the AM, including interactive exhibits, workshops, panel discussions, and hands-on activities, aimed at audiences of all ages. Climate Solutions Saturday will explore how we can work together to create a brighter and more sustainable future.

Special highlights throughout the day include:

  • Dynamic 10-Minute Toolbox Talks, with leading tech innovators, efficiency experts and architects sharing breakthrough approaches to sustainability and how to effortlessly implement them.
  • Entertaining and engaging panel discussions, featuring pioneers in the fields of science, energy and the environment.
  • Hands-on workshops teaching valuable creative skills, such as visible mending, letter-writing and fun food-rescue recipes - helping you to save the planet and your bank balance!
  • Fill your sustainability toolkit with life hacks from the Fix-it Chicks.

Dr Jenny Newell, Curator for Climate Change at the AM’s Climate Solutions Centre, said the Australian Museum is opening up a huge array of exciting ideas that can make a big difference, reducing emissions, caring for nature and reducing costs – from electrifying homes and enjoying carbon-neutral beer and swimmable rivers in Sydney’s western suburbs.

"In hosting Climate Solutions Saturday, the Australian Museum and the Climate Solutions Centre hope to give visitors practical and effective steps for living sustainably and more affordably and a chance to connect to inspiring people taking action to create positive futures.” Dr Newell said.

Meals, Snacks and Sandbags – Rapid Relief Team’s Massive Response to Cyclone Alfred
